Privacy

We collect as little as we can to run a free 30-minute feedback session. We don’t sell personal data, and we don’t build advertising profiles.

Who is responsible

Vibe Back (vibe-back.com) is operated as a small community project. For privacy questions, contact team@datapurposed.com.

What we collect

Depending on how you use the site, we may process:

• Booking details — name, email, chosen time, timezone, and anything you write in the booking form (e.g. what you want feedback on).
• Session logistics — calendar event data and a video meeting link created by our scheduling provider.
• Optional giver signup — if you join as a feedback giver, availability and preferences you submit.
• Ratings or reports — short feedback after a session, or messages you send when reporting a problem.
• Basic site logs — standard server/CDN logs (IP address, user agent, pages requested) used for security and reliability, not for marketing.

We do not require LinkedIn, social profiles, payment cards, or government ID to book.

How we use it

• to schedule and run your feedback session,
• to send booking confirmations and reminders,
• to match or coordinate with a feedback giver (today: a human host),
• to enforce the code of conduct and handle reports,
• to keep the service secure and working.

We do not use your data for ads or sell it to third parties.

Tools we rely on

To stay lightweight, we use a few processors. Their own privacy policies also apply to data they handle:

• Cal.com — scheduling and availability ( cal.com/privacy).
• Google — calendar sync / Meet links when connected through Cal.com, and Google Forms if we use a form for giver signup ( Google Privacy Policy).
• Cloudflare — hosting and delivery of this website ( Cloudflare Privacy Policy).

Sessions and recording

Video calls happen through the meeting tool attached to the booking (typically Google Meet). We do not record sessions by default. Other participants must not record without your clear consent. First name is the default identity shared with the other person.

How long we keep data

Booking and calendar data are kept as long as needed to run the session and handle no-shows, ratings, or disputes — generally no longer than a few months unless a report requires a longer record. Hosting logs follow the retention of our hosting provider. You can ask us to delete data we control (see below).

Sharing

We share personal data only when necessary:

• with the other person in your session (typically first name + call link),
• with the processors listed above to operate booking and hosting,
• if required by law, or to prevent abuse / protect someone’s safety.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live (including the EU/EEA and UK), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data we hold, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these, email team@datapurposed.com.

You can also cancel upcoming bookings through Cal.com, and manage Google account permissions if you connected a calendar yourself.

Children

Vibe Back is aimed at adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If how we handle data changes in a meaningful way, we’ll update this page and the “Last updated” date. For significant changes, we may also note them on the homepage.
